In a future city regulated by bounty laws tied to Somadea implants, Ubu Kamigori makes a living as a licensed hunter. Bounties are paid for delivering the brain of wanted Somadea users, dead or alive. After finishing a job, Ubu returns home and is confronted by Mr. Elegance, who runs a hot spring as cover and leads the Archimedeath bounty outfit; he tries to pull her into his operation. A new target surfaces: Tommy J, a serial killer enhanced with illegal Somadea. While Ubu tracks him, the appearance of Noa Andriette carrying an explosive and Archimedeath’s parallel moves complicate the hunt. Vespa, a naive Somadea girl who must charge unclothed, becomes another variable that draws competing interests. The pursuit forces Ubu to navigate traps, rival hunters, and shifting ground rules as she balances independence against entanglement with Mr. Elegance, driving the case toward a direct confrontation shaped by the bounty conditions and the price of survival.
