Sakuya Outsuki is the son of Tatsuya Outsuki, a legendary detective known for solving impossible cases and for surviving death itself. Sakuya inherited the same ability to come back after being killed, but he does not want the life his father made famous. He attends high school, works at a detective agency, and prefers small jobs that should not place him in danger. His assistant Lilithea stays beside him, handles practical details, and keeps pushing him to act more like the detective others expect him to become. Their routine collapses whenever a simple request turns into murder, because Sakuya’s body becomes part of the case before he has finished reading the room.

Each investigation follows the same cruel advantage. Sakuya can die, return, and use the details of his own murder as evidence. A cruise ship case, a suspicious client, a closed location, and later cases around hotels and other traps force him to treat pain and death as clues rather than endings. Lilithea helps connect witnesses, timelines, and contradictions while also protecting the agency that Tatsuya’s absence has left vulnerable. Sakuya is not as brilliant or feared as his father, but his ability lets him test theories no normal detective could survive. The problem is that every revival proves how many people are willing to kill him and how little he understands about the larger shadow around his father. His path becomes a fight to keep the agency alive, solve cases that begin with his own corpse, and decide whether he can become a detective in his own right without turning death into the only method he trusts.
