Death Note

Light Yagami is brilliant, bored, and convinced the world would be better if someone could clean it up. That fantasy becomes real when he finds a black notebook dropped by Ryuk, a shinigami who is curious to see what a human will do with power. The rules are simple and terrifying: write a person’s name while knowing their face, and they die. Light starts killing criminals and quickly becomes a global fear under the name «Kira.» The police cannot touch him, so an elusive detective known as L steps in, turning the hunt into a war of traps, public tests, and private calculations where one mistake means death. As Light pulls others into his plan, the line between justice and control disappears, and the notebook stops being a tool and becomes the thing that owns him.
