Cat Shit One

Cat Shit One is a short CG-animated action film based on Motofumi Kobayashi's military manga, in which soldiers and nations are portrayed as anthropomorphic animals. The American mercenaries are rabbits, and the story is told with a grounded, realistic approach to combat.

The Carrot Military Service special unit known as Cat Shit One is an elite private military force. Two of its members, Perkins and Botasky, are stationed in the Middle East to carry out reconnaissance on an insurgent base where hostages are being held. The mission changes when the enemy kills one of the hostages and starts brutally torturing another.

Realizing that they cannot wait for the backup they requested, the vastly outnumbered pair decide to rescue the captives themselves. The film is a tense, compact story of a two-man raid against overwhelming odds, focused on tactics, gunfire and the grim reality of modern warfare despite its cute-looking characters.
