Please Excuse My Younger Brothers

High school sophomore Ito has grown up as an only child, so she is excited when her mother remarries and imagines finally having a father at home. Instead, she walks into a household containing four younger stepbrothers she never knew about. Gen is blunt and difficult but more caring than he admits. Raku remains calm when the rest of the family becomes chaotic, Syu shuts himself away, and little Rui greets their new sister with open enthusiasm. Ito suddenly has to trade the quiet life she understands for the responsibilities of being the eldest child in a crowded home. Living together exposes the distance, worries, and affection each sibling hides in a different way. As daily arguments and small crises bring them closer, five strangers joined by their parents begin working out what it actually means to become a family.
