The Elusive Samurai Season 2

Hojo Tokiyuki has survived the fall of the Kamakura shogunate by doing what samurai are taught to despise: running away. Hidden in Suwa under priest Yorishige Suwa’s protection, he has turned that gift for escape into a weapon and gathered the young retainers of the Elusive Warriors around him. Their purpose remains unchanged—grow strong enough to reclaim Kamakura from Takauji Ashikaga. In the second season, the new regime tightens its search for surviving Hojo loyalists, while governor Sadamune Ogasawara grows suspicious of the mysterious boy called Chojumaru. When the brutal provincial governor Kiyohara returns and launches a campaign against pro-Hojo forces in northern Shinano, Tokiyuki and his companions are drawn into their largest battle yet. Serving as messengers across collapsing fronts, they must keep allies alive and prepare for the uprising that could finally carry Tokiyuki home.
