Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc

After the Katana Man case, Denji shelters from rain and meets Reze, a café worker who treats him kindly. Their routine takes root: small talks at the counter, a night visit to an empty school where she teaches him to swim, and a festival where she asks him to run away with her. Reze is an operative, a Bomb Devil hybrid sent to take the Chainsaw heart. She exposes herself during an attack, allies with the Typhoon Devil, and cuts through Public Safety units. Beam drags a wounded Denji from a car ambush; Aki and the Angel Devil cover the retreat. Reze and Denji clash across streets and rooftops until he binds her with chains and drags the fight underwater, where her explosions fail. He spares her. Deciding to meet him honestly, Reze heads to their café but is intercepted by Makima and Angel; she never arrives. Denji waits with flowers, unaware that first love has been weaponized against him, and the city resets to patrols and rain.
