Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun Specials

These specials were bundled with the Blu-ray and DVD releases of Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun, the romantic comedy about high school student Chiyo Sakura and her crush, the tall and stoic Umetarou Nozaki.

When Chiyo finally works up the courage to confess her feelings, Nozaki mistakes her for a fan and gives her an autograph. It turns out that he is secretly a popular shoujo manga artist who publishes under a pen name, and Chiyo soon ends up as his assistant, filling in the beta. Despite drawing sweet romances, Nozaki is hopelessly oblivious when it comes to real love, and he constantly mines the quirks of the people around him for material.

The specials bring back the series' eccentric cast, including the playboy Mikoto Mikoshiba, the dashing "prince" Yuu Kashima, the hot-tempered Masayuki Hori and the blunt Yuzuki Seo, in short comedic scenes that extend the series' running gags. They are light extras intended for viewers already familiar with the main show.
