Digimon: The Movie

A brother and sister discover that the digital world is more than ones and zeros when a living creature emerges from the family computer, and the adventures of a group of children begin with the appearance of a Digital Monster in the real world.

Digimon: The Movie, released in 2000, is the American adaptation of the first three Japanese Digimon films, distributed by 20th Century Fox. It was assembled from Digimon Adventure (1999), Our War Game! (2000) and Digimon Adventure 02: Hurricane Touchdown!! / Supreme Evolution!! The Golden Digimentals (2000).

Significant changes were made in creating the American version: more than forty minutes of footage from the original Japanese films was cut to fit the running time, and the storylines were altered so that the three separate tales play as a single film. The result follows Tai, Kari and their friends from a childhood encounter with a Digimon, through a battle against a virus Digimon rampaging across the internet, to a new mystery faced by the next generation of DigiDestined.
