Digimon Hurricane Touchdown! Supreme Evolution! The Golden Digimentals is a film set in the world of Digimon Adventure 02. Years ago, a young boy in America lost one of his Digimon partners. Now, during summer vacation, Takeru and Hikari travel to the United States, where they meet up with their friend Mimi in New York.

Their trip takes a dark turn when an evil viral Digimon begins kidnapping the original Chosen Children, who vanish one after another. Takeru, Hikari and their partners must team up with their younger friends Daisuke, Miyako and Iori and race against time to discover the source of this new menace. On their journey across America they meet Wallace, a boy traveling with his Digimon Gummymon, who is searching for the partner he lost long ago.

As the children follow the trail, it becomes clear that the threat is tied to Wallace's past, and that solving this years-old mystery may be the only way to rescue their friends. The film is also known for introducing the golden Digimentals, which unlock a new and powerful form of evolution.
