One Piece: Dream Soccer King

One Piece: Dream Soccer King is a short comedic special that takes the Straw Hat Pirates off the high seas and onto the soccer field. Monkey D. Luffy and his crew take on the Villain All-Stars, a team made up of adversaries from the series, in a match to decide who will be crowned the Dream Soccer King.

The game is every bit as chaotic as one would expect from the Straw Hats, with the crew's unique abilities and personalities turning an ordinary match into an over-the-top spectacle. Neither side is willing to give an inch, and after a hard-fought contest the result comes down to a penalty kick tie-breaker shoot-out. Standing in goal is Coby, the young Marine recruit whom Luffy befriended at the very start of his journey, while his fellow recruit Helmeppo serves as the referee. Light on story and heavy on gags, the special is a playful bonus for fans that celebrates the cast in a sporting setting far removed from their usual pirate adventures.
