One Piece: Episode of Merry - The Tale of One More Friend

One Piece: Episode of Merry - The Tale of One More Friend is a television special that revisits one of the most emotional chapters in One Piece history. Aboard the Thousand Sunny, the newest crew member, the skeleton musician Brook, asks where the name of their small boat, the Mini Merry, came from. In response, Usopp and Tony Tony Chopper begin to recall the adventures of the Straw Hat Pirates' beloved first ship, the Going Merry, which was not merely a vessel but a true friend and crew member.

The story looks back on the Merry's journey from the moment it joined the crew, through countless storms and battles, up to the crisis in Water 7, where the ship is found to be damaged beyond repair. Usopp abandons the crew after a fight with Luffy over the Going Merry's fate, while Nico Robin leaves with CP9, the World Government's top assassin group. To bring the crew back together, Monkey D. Luffy and the remaining Straw Hats set out after Robin to rescue her from the clutches of the World Government, and the Going Merry, with the spirit dwelling inside it, has one last part to play in their story.
