Ghost in the Shell: Arise - Border 3: Ghost Tears

Ghost Tears is the third film of Ghost in the Shell: Arise. Motoko Kusanagi, a cyborg with a fully prosthetic body, has assembled her own team of specialists, the people who will become the core of Public Security Section 9, the unit that deals with the most dangerous criminals and whose members almost all have cybernetic bodies or implants.

As usual, Motoko and her burly partner Batou carry out an assignment from their boss, Aramaki. The team takes on another dangerous mission, confronting a terrorist group known to use the image of Scylla, the monster from ancient Greek myth, as its emblem. At the same time, another member of the team, Togusa, takes on a different but equally tangled case: he investigates the murder of a man who had a prosthetic leg manufactured by a mysterious company called Mermaid's Leg. As the investigations progress, the agents begin to realize that the cases being pursued by Motoko and Togusa may somehow be connected. Alongside the case, the film also explores Motoko's personal life, revealing a more private side of the Major than viewers usually get to see.
