Haganai: A Round-Robin Story's Ending Is Way Extreme

Life in the Neighbors Club has more or less settled down, but the members' daily routine takes another unexpected turn when they go looking for a group activity that might bring everyone together beyond their usual squabbles and rivalries. Kodaka Hasegawa suggests a round-robin story, in which each member continues the tale handed over by the previous author, keeping its basic structure but adding their own flights of fancy. The girls take up the idea with varying degrees of enthusiasm.

Sena is determined to prove that her literary talent outshines everyone else's, Yozora tries to control the direction of the narrative, Yukimura sees the project as a chance to show her loyalty to Kodaka, and Rika decides to turn the text into an experiment full of insane plot lines. The project quickly descends into chaos, as every new section radically changes the tone of the story, from romance to science fiction and then to a battle epic. The members start arguing over earlier chapters, quibbling over details and even rewriting their own parts, and the tension keeps rising. With everyone pulling the plot in a different direction, it is anyone's guess whether the story will ever reach a fitting ending.
