Saint☆Young Men

Buddha Shakyamuni and Jesus Christ, the greatest spiritual leaders of the East and the West, have decided to take a vacation. They chose Japan, since in Europe they do not cook rice well and in India the climate is too harsh. They wanted to find inexpensive lodgings and interesting places to visit, and in the end they settled in a modest apartment building run by their landlady, Mrs. Matsuda, in Tokyo. Thanks to their humility, meekness and ability to follow commandments, they easily adapted to their new surroundings.

Living at Mrs. Matsuda's, Jesus and Buddha strictly obeyed all the rules: no noise after eleven at night, carefully sorting the garbage before taking it out, no pets, and proper respect for the landlady. They understood that in someone else's home one must follow the established order. And so, humbly and without disturbing the public peace, they set about enjoying their vacation, all while trying to hide their true identities and make sense of everyday life in modern Japan, where their efforts lead to plenty of gentle comedy and good-natured jokes about Christianity and Buddhism.
