Guilty Crown: Lost Christmas

Guilty Crown: Lost Christmas is a side story set in the world of Guilty Crown, the Production I.G series about a Japan devastated by the Apocalypse Virus and ruled under foreign intervention. It takes place in 2029, the year of the catastrophic outbreak known as Lost Christmas, a decade before the main series.

Its protagonist is Scrooge, a young man who escapes from a research facility where he had been confined as an experimental subject. His body has been remodeled through genetic manipulation, and he uses his psychic power to kill the pursuers sent after him. One day he meets Carol, another experimental subject from the same kind of program. When three psychic hunters track the two of them down, Carol asks Scrooge to use his right arm to draw a weapon out of her body, an ability that echoes the power to extract a person's Void that lies at the heart of the main series.

Darker and more compact than the TV anime, the story offers a glimpse of the secret experiments and the chaos surrounding the events that shaped the world of Guilty Crown.
