Sankarea: I, Too, Am... A Zombie...

"I, Too, Am... A Zombie..." is an extra episode of Sankarea included with the sixth BD/DVD volume, effectively serving as the series' thirteenth episode.

Sankarea follows Chihiro Furuya, a high school boy obsessed with zombies, whose attempts to brew a resurrection potion for his beloved dead cat Babu end up changing the life of Rea Sanka, a sheltered girl from a wealthy family desperate to escape her overbearing father. After her death, Rea rises again as a zombie and comes to live with Chihiro, enjoying the freedom she never had while struggling with a body that slowly decays.

In this episode, despite their decaying bodies, Rea's zombie powers prove surprisingly handy both at school and at home. Meanwhile, the zombie cat Babu takes an interest in another cat, although this particular feline is very much one of the living. The episode offers a lighter, comedic look at everyday life with the undead.
