Sankarea OVA

Two OVA episodes accompany the series, the first set before the main story and the second after it. In the first, Chihiro Furuya finds himself at an outdoor bath far from the bustle of the city, where he unexpectedly runs into Rea Sanka, a girl from a wealthy family who lives under the constant control of her strict father. At that point there is no trust between them, but this chance meeting becomes the first step toward a bond that will later change both their lives. Rea hides her inner tension, her weariness of family pressure and her wish to feel free, if only for a moment, while Chihiro notices not only her looks but also an anxiety she tries not to show.

The second episode takes place after the events of the series and tells of a strange incident at the home where Rea and Chihiro live. The Furuya family discovers a mysterious little girl hiding under the household temple. She looks lost, does not answer questions and screams loudly whenever anyone tries to approach her. Attempts to find out where she came from prove useless, and every effort to get her help only makes her more agitated.
