We Never Learn: BOKUBEN - The Predecessor [X] with Elegance with the Missing Item on the Beach

This OVA of We Never Learn adapts two chapters of Taishi Tsutsui's manga. Nariyuki Yuiga is a hardworking student from a poor family who, in exchange for a special scholarship, has taken on the job of tutoring brilliant classmates in the subjects they are hopeless at, and his days are rarely as calm as he would like.

In the first story, Nariyuki goes on a fake date with Asumi Kominami, the predecessor of the title: an older girl who failed her university entrance exams and is studying for another attempt to get into medical school. In the second, a trip to the beach brings an awkward encounter with his teacher Mafuyu Kirisu, the strict instructor known for her cool demeanor, after she accidentally loses her swimsuit top and Nariyuki gets caught up in her predicament.

Like the main series, the episode mixes romantic comedy with embarrassing situations and fan service, this time putting the spotlight on two heroines who are not among Nariyuki's regular pupils.
