Spice and Wolf II Specials

Spice and Wolf II Specials are short extra episodes featuring Holo, released with the first and second Blu-ray/DVD volumes of the second season of Spice and Wolf.

Spice and Wolf follows Kraft Lawrence, a traveling merchant who peddles his wares from town to town in a world inspired by medieval Europe. One night he finds a beautiful girl with wolf ears and a tail sleeping in his wagon: Holo, the Wisewolf of Yoitsu, a centuries-old harvest deity who once watched over the wheat of a farming village. Forgotten by the villagers as times changed, she asks Lawrence to take her north to her long-lost homeland, and the two set out on a journey filled with trade, negotiations and witty banter.

These brief bonus shorts put the spotlight on Holo herself, showcasing the proud, playful and sharp-tongued personality, the love of apples and the fondness for good food and drink that have made her one of the most beloved heroines of the series. They are a small, lighthearted treat for fans of the second season.
