Shonen Onmyoji

Masahiro, the young heir of the great Abe no Seimei, bears the illustrious name of his grandfather, who won lasting fame in his field. Yet from childhood Masahiro faced an undeniable challenge: he could not see spirits, which was considered essential for anyone hoping to become a successful onmyouji. This led to misunderstanding and doubt from those around him, making his path all the harder. Troubled by it more with every passing day, Masahiro began to consider giving up on carrying on his grandfather's work and trying his hand at a more ordinary trade.

But in a remarkable twist of fate, he happened to meet a mononoke, a mysterious creature resembling a cross between a fox and a weasel, with shimmering red markings. This sudden encounter brought light into his gray everyday life and rekindled his hope. Overjoyed by the discovery, Masahiro named the mononoke Mokkun and prepared for a series of trials tied to his newly awakened family abilities. Full of enthusiasm, he now strives for fame equal to the glory that made his grandfather great, determined to accept fate's challenge and build a legacy no less impressive than his grandfather's.
