Today's Asuka Show

Asuka is a cute and clueless middle school girl who goes about her everyday life in complete innocence. The trouble is that the things she does without a second thought keep looking very different to the men around her: ordinary moments, harmless habits and misheard phrases take on an unintentionally suggestive appearance, leaving onlookers flustered while Asuka herself has no idea what the fuss is about.

Today's Asuka Show is a short-form comedy in which each chapter presents a different awkward situation. The humor rests on the gap between Asuka's obliviousness and the way her actions are perceived by those who happen to see them, with every misunderstanding escalating into embarrassment for everyone except her. Light, brief and built entirely on its running gag, the series is a string of self-contained skits rather than an ongoing story.
