Initial D Extra Stage 2

After Takumi joins Project D, life gradually changes for the members of his old crew, and the story turns to the relationship between Mako Sato and Koichiro Iketani, which has long remained unresolved. Mako keeps taking part in night races, honing her driving skills and maintaining her reputation as a talented racer capable of competing with experienced opponents on difficult mountain courses. Iketani, meanwhile, continues working at the gas station, trying to concentrate on his daily duties.

Yet memories of the meeting that never happened keep coming back to him, filling him with regret over the missed chance to talk to her. Since that day things between them have been tense: both still have feelings for each other, yet both avoid an honest conversation. Mako tries to understand why Iketani acted the way he did, taking it as a sign that he was never serious about her, while Iketani gradually begins to realize the consequences of his own indecisiveness.
