Locodol

Nanako Usami is an ordinary high school girl living in Nagarekawa, a small rural city that few people outside the area have ever heard of. One day her uncle, who works at city hall, asks her to take part in a stage show at the local zoo to help promote the town.

There she meets Yukari Kohinata, her senpai from high school, who is also scheduled to perform. Nervous and inexperienced, Nanako manages to get through the show successfully thanks to Yukari's advice. The experience leads the two girls to form the Nagarekawa Girls, a local idol duo created to promote their hometown.

Locodol is a gentle slice-of-life comedy about the world of local idols, who are far removed from the glamor of big-city stardom. Instead of huge concerts, Nanako and Yukari perform at town events, help with promotional campaigns and do their best to bring attention to the place they love, discovering the joys and difficulties of being idols for their own community.
