Big Windup! 2

Big Windup! 2 picks up right where the first season left off. Ren Mihashi, a timid pitcher whose confidence was crushed in middle school, has become the ace of the newly formed Nishiura High School baseball team, made up entirely of first-year students. Thanks to his catcher Takaya Abe, who plans every pitch around Mihashi's pinpoint control, coach Maria Momoe and his teammates, he is gradually learning to believe in himself and in the team.

Now Nishiura continues its run in the high school baseball tournament, whose finals are played at the legendary Hanshin Koshien Stadium, and its next opponent is Sakitama High School. Every inning brings new pressure as the young team fights to prove itself.

Like the first season, the sequel follows each game pitch by pitch, delving into the thoughts and tactics of the players on both sides, the bonds between teammates and Mihashi's growth both as a pitcher and as a person.
