Overgeared

Shin Youngwoo has long been used to thinking of himself as a loser: in real life he is constantly dogged by financial trouble, bad luck and endless disappointment. Even in Satisfy, the hugely popular virtual reality game in which millions of users build careers of their own, he remains a weak, low-level player under the name Grid, unable to compete with the recognized leaders. Most of his attempts to earn in-game money end in failure, and difficult quests bring him nothing but more defeats.

Everything changes during one dangerous adventure, when he unexpectedly finds an ancient item that alters his fate forever. Thanks to it, he obtains a unique legendary class, Pagma's Successor, available to only one person. Along with the new title, he gains outstanding blacksmithing abilities that let him forge weapons, armor and all kinds of gear far superior in quality and stats to ordinary items. Using rare materials, blueprints and his own skills, Grid begins crafting equipment that draws enormous interest from the strongest players. His sudden rise brings him fame, wealth and lucrative offers, but also the attention of powerful guilds, rivals and people eager to steal the secrets of his craft – and life as a legend may be more than he bargained for.
