Great Pretender: Razbliuto

In the world of Great Pretender, national borders are little more than backdrops for other people's performances. Razbliuto shifts the focus from Makoto Edamura and Laurent Thierry to Dorothy, a woman many believed dead after a clash with the Shanghai mob Longu-bang. She was once a brilliant con artist who could turn others' greed into a trap. Now she lives under the name Li Xiang Xiang in a quiet seaside village with her adoptive parents, with no past, only fragments of dreams, a strange sense of danger and a talent for seeing lies where others see only a friendly smile.

Her fragile peace collapses because of a seemingly minor con. Dorothy instantly sees through a clumsy scheme run by a small-time crook nicknamed Ai, and in doing so pulls on the thread of far more dangerous connections. Behind Ai stands J, a local crime underboss who tries to settle the problem, but meeting Dorothy draws him into a tangle where any wrong move could mean betrayal. Soon it becomes clear that Taipei's criminal underworld still remembers the woman who once conned people who never forgive a debt.

Relying on these uneasy allies, Dorothy must elude her pursuers while tracking down leads to her mysterious past, and find out who she will turn out to be once her memories return.
