Blade Dance of the Elementalers Specials

These mini specials were released with each Blu-ray and DVD volume of Blade Dance of the Elementalers, the anime adaptation of Yuu Shimizu's light novel series. The story is set in a world where maidens form contracts with spirits and wield their power, and centers on Kamito Kazehaya, the only boy able to contract with spirits, who enrolls at the Areishia Spirit Academy, a school for girls training to become elementalists.

Each special is tied to a new 32-page short story that Shimizu wrote especially for the limited first pressing of every volume, so the shorts work as companion pieces to these bonus tales rather than as part of the main plot. They offer extra moments with Kamito and the heroines around him, such as the proud fire-spirit user Claire Rouge and his sword spirit Est, in a lighter mood than the television series.
