Animal Town is built on the idea that humans and animals can live side by side without fear, and Iroha Inukai treats that as normal life, not as a miracle. Her closest companion is her dog Komugi, who sticks to her like a heartbeat and reacts to danger faster than any person could. When the magical realm called Niko Garden is attacked, its animal inhabitants are corrupted and transformed into threats, and that corruption spills into Animal Town as monsters known as Garugaru. Komugi’s instinct to protect Iroha connects with the Mirror Stone and changes everything at once, giving Komugi a human form and the power to transform into Cure Wonderful. Iroha does not stay on the sidelines either, becoming Cure Friendly so they can fight together instead of losing each other to the chaos. Their mission is not to destroy, it is to purify, to return the Garugaru to their original forms and bring the rescued Niko Animals back to Niko Garden, which makes every confrontation feel like saving someone who is trapped inside their own rage. As the battles continue, more allies join, including Mayu and her cat Yuki, expanding the team and the emotional stakes, because each new Garugaru is tied to another life twisted by fear. The deeper the girls push, the clearer it becomes that the damage is deliberate, driven by forces that resent humanity, and the only way forward is to protect both worlds while refusing to treat any corrupted creature as disposable.
