Former ice dancer Tsukasa Akeuraji, stalled in his own career, meets fifth-grader Inori Yuitsuka sneaking time on a public rink. Seeing self-taught edges and no basics, he persuades her reluctant mother to let her join a club and becomes her first coach. Training starts at zero: posture and stroking drills, two-foot spins into scratch spins, waltz jump toward axel attempts, step sequences, plus off-ice strength and ballet. They navigate fees, sparse ice slots, and skepticism from parents and coaches. Pressure from school and her sister’s failed skating run shadows progress. Early tests and small meets set benchmarks; nerves cause falls, then clean skates move Inori into novice ranks. Tsukasa builds programs on a budget, picks music, and confronts rivals who question his credentials. The season closes with Inori attempting content just beyond comfort to close a points gap, while a brief display of Tsukasa’s own skating clarifies what he gave up and why he is betting on her path.
