Rock Is a Lady's Modesty

Lilisa Suzunomiya lives under the manners of high society after her mother remarries into a wealthy family, trading her old guitar for poise and etiquette at an elite girls’ academy. A chance encounter with Otoha Kurogane, a model student who pounds out drum parts in secret, pulls Lilisa back to the music she hid. The two begin meeting after class, testing songs in empty rooms, and building a sound they cannot show on campus. They hide setlists from prefects, dodge family expectations, and search for allies who can keep a beat and keep a secret. Small victories at underground spaces give them the nerve to aim higher, but each rehearsal risks exposure that could cost scholarships and status. Lilisa learns to speak through riffs instead of polite smiles, Otoha pushes timing and tone until the room shakes, and the pair move from practice to their first real stage knowing the double life will not hold forever.
