Agents of the Four Seasons: Dance of Spring

Hinagiku Kayo returns after ten years of captivity, and the world that should welcome spring has almost forgotten what spring feels like. She is the Agent of Spring, one of the people who carry the cycle of the seasons, but her abduction stopped that cycle and left the land under a long winter. Sakura Himedaka, her guard, never stopped blaming herself for failing to protect her. When Hinagiku is finally free, the two begin a journey to restore spring by performing the duty that was stolen from her. Hinagiku is physically and emotionally changed by the years she lost, while Sakura tries to protect her so tightly that care can look like control. Their first steps are not heroic. They are slow travel, cold towns, suspicious people, and the painful proof that absence has consequences.

As they move across the land, Hinagiku has to meet other Agents and face the damage caused by the Rebels, the enemies who target the seasonal order. Spring is not simply a power she can release at once. It is tied to her body, memory, fear, and willingness to stand before people who suffered while she was gone. Sakura handles routes, threats, and formal duties, but her own wounds keep surfacing whenever danger comes close. The journey forces both of them to rebuild the bond between Agent and guard, not as a perfect master and attendant, but as two people carrying guilt from the same disaster. Each stop brings another sign that the world needs spring, yet the return of warmth also draws out old grudges and new attacks. Hinagiku’s task becomes more than bringing flowers back. She must reclaim the place taken from her and decide whether the life waiting ahead belongs to duty, survival, or the person still walking beside her.
