Gals Can't Be Kind to Otaku!?

Takuya Seo keeps to himself at school because he is sure his classmates would mock him if they knew how much he loves GlitterMon. He sits behind Kei Amane and Kotoko Ijichi, two popular girls who seem to belong to a completely different circle. A borrowed eraser breaks that distance. Takuya slips while talking about GlitterMon, and Amane corrects him with knowledge too precise for someone who claims not to watch it. The secret is out between them. Amane is also a fan, but she hides it behind her public image. Ijichi notices the change in their conversations and joins in without judging either of them. What Takuya expected to become humiliation instead becomes the first real opening he has had with classmates.

Their routine grows from small talks after class into shared games, anime discussions, shopping trips, and visits that blur the line between ordinary friendship and something more. Amane invites Takuya over to continue a GlitterMon battle and struggles to keep her interest hidden while still wanting someone to understand it. Ijichi, who is more open and observant, starts feeling left behind when Takuya and Amane get closer, so she asks him out after school and finds herself drawn to his honesty. Takuya does not know how to read the attention he receives and keeps assuming that the two girls are only being kind. Around them, school gossip, family responsibilities, and the fear of being exposed keep complicating simple moments. Amane wants to enjoy what she likes without losing the image she built. Ijichi wants to stay beside both of them without turning into an outsider. Takuya slowly learns that the distance between social groups was never as fixed as he believed, and that being seen clearly can be less frightening than hiding alone.
