Overlord: The Dark Hero

Overlord: The Dark Hero is the second of two compilation films recapping the first season of the Overlord anime. It covers the second half of the season and adds a few extended scenes.

Momonga, now fully embracing his new identity as Ainz Ooal Gown, the fearsome overlord of the Great Tomb of Nazarick, continues to explore the world he and his guild were transported into after the game Yggdrasil shut down. To learn more about it, he takes on the guise of Momon, a dark-armored adventurer, and works out of the city of E-Rantel together with the battle maid Narberal Gamma.

His adventures pit him against a dangerous cult plotting to unleash chaos on the city, while back at Nazarick a crisis strikes when one of his own Floor Guardians is turned against him. Throughout it all, Ainz works to spread the name of Nazarick and bring it to new glory, balancing his cautious, very human thoughts with the role of an all-powerful undead ruler.
