Strike the Blood Second

Strike the Blood Second is the second season of the action fantasy series based on Gakuto Mikumo's light novels. Released as an OVA, it adapts three story arcs drawn from the ninth, eleventh and twelfth volumes of the novels, skipping ahead to later events in the story.

Kojou Akatsuki, an ordinary high school student who became the Fourth Primogenitor, the world's most powerful vampire, still lives on Itogami Island, the artificial city in the Demon Sanctuary where humans and demons live side by side. Yukina Himeragi, the Sword Shaman sent by the Lion King Agency to watch over and, if needed, kill him, remains at his side.

The new arcs throw them into fresh crises involving dangerous conspiracies, powerful foes and the fate of the island itself, while Kojou's growing circle of girls keeps the romantic comedy going between fights. As before, the season mixes vampire battles, summoned familiars and harem-style humor, giving fans of the first season a continuation of the story beyond what the TV anime covered.
