Wandance

Kaboku Kotani starts high school planning to stay unseen because speaking up is hard for him. One afternoon he spots Hikari Wanda dancing by herself and the focus in her movement pulls him in. He walks into the dance club and begins from zero. Warmups become rhythm drills, isolations, and footwork. With Hikari and upperclassmen he learns to build short routines, count music, and hold eye lines. Practice rooms, taped floors, and phone videos turn into a daily loop as the club prepares for campus showcases and small events. Kaboku adjusts to formations and freestyles while Hikari faces pressure that comes with talent. Missed cues, bruises, and small clean runs mark their progress. Away from practice they trade clips and talk about what it means to keep going. Misunderstandings about motive and dependence are tested on stage. By the end they remain classmates who push each other to move better, ready to step out again when the next chance to perform arrives.
