From above the gray fog, Klein Moretti continues presiding over the Tarot Club as the mysterious Fool. A distant prayer reaches him from Derrick Berg, a young man trapped in the City of Silver, a cursed settlement hidden in the sunless Forsaken Land of God. Klein brings Derrick into the club, where his search for salvation gives him the name The Sun. The next gathering turns toward a more immediate threat when Alger Wilson, The Hanged Man, calls for the death of Qilangos, one of the seven Pirate Admirals. Audrey Hall uses her position in Backlund to trace the killer and crosses paths with Beyonders Fors Wall and Xio Derecha. As the hunt tightens, Klein seeks help from Mr. Azik, drawing the Tarot Club into its first coordinated operation against a powerful enemy.
