The World's Strongest Rearguard

A freak bus accident ends the life of exhausted office worker Arihito Atobe and sends him to a fantasy world where people earn their living as adventurers called Seekers. When Arihito chooses a job, he receives the unknown rearguard class. It looks unimpressive until he discovers what standing behind his companions actually does: he can strengthen their attacks, protect them from damage, and restore their health at the same time. The position even increases the affection of anyone fighting ahead of him. With no guide explaining the class and a dangerous labyrinth country waiting outside, Arihito begins testing its rules and building a party around its unusual strengths. His abilities do not place him at the front of a battle, but the companions who rely on him soon learn that the person behind them may be the most important fighter in the group.
