One Punch Man: Road to Hero

Road to Hero is a One Punch Man original video that goes back to the days before Saitama became the overwhelmingly strong, perpetually bored hero who can defeat any enemy with a single punch. At this point he is still on his way to the top: training relentlessly and fighting monster after monster in his quest to become a hero purely for fun.

All that fighting comes at a price for his wardrobe. Every scuffle leaves his tracksuit in tatters, but he always gets it mended free of charge thanks to the kindly tailor in his neighborhood. One day, however, the tailor tells him that he has to close his shop because of pressure from a local gang. Saitama decides to help the old man out, and in the process he gains something irreplaceable.

Featuring the series' trademark blend of deadpan comedy and explosive action, this short story offers a glimpse of Saitama's humble early days and the people who supported him along the road to becoming a hero.
