One Punch Man Specials

One Punch Man Specials are a set of short bonus episodes included with the Blu-ray and DVD releases of the first season of One Punch Man. They are standalone side stories that take place alongside the TV series rather than advancing its main plot.

The specials return to the everyday life of Saitama, an unassuming hero who trained so hard that he can defeat any enemy with a single punch and is now bored by the lack of any real challenge. Together with his earnest cyborg disciple Genos and other members of the Hero Association, he deals with situations that are often far more mundane than battling monsters, giving the cast a chance to shine outside the big fights.

In keeping with the spirit of the series, the episodes mix deadpan comedy with action, playing up Saitama's indifference, Genos's intense devotion and the quirks of the many heroes and villains around them. They are a lighthearted extra for fans who want to spend a little more time with Saitama and his friends between the main story's battles.
