Recovery of an MMO Junkie Special

This special is a bonus episode of Recovery of an MMO Junkie, the romantic comedy about Moriko Morioka, a thirty-year-old woman who quit her stressful corporate job to become a self-proclaimed elite NEET and spend her days in the online game Fruits de Mer. In the game she plays as Hayashi, a handsome male character, and becomes close friends with Lily, a cute healer who is secretly controlled by Yuuta Sakurai, a kind office worker she has also crossed paths with in real life.

In this episode, much to her dismay, Moriko's computer breaks down, cutting her off from her beloved game. All is not lost, however: she remembers that Sakurai is something of a computer geek and turns to him for help. When he comes over to help her build a new PC, the awkward pair end up spending time together in her apartment, and their mutual nervousness, misunderstandings and quiet affection lead to plenty of comedy. The special keeps the gentle, heartwarming tone of the series, focusing on two shy adults slowly growing closer both online and offline.
