Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works] Season 2: Sunny Day

Sunny Day is the epilogue to Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works], released as a bonus episode after the conclusion of the second season. As the Fifth Holy Grail War comes to an end, Saber carries out once more the final duty she performed in the previous war, destroying the Grail to break the vicious cycle once and for all. The decisive blow drains her remaining mana, and her body begins to fade. She offers a tearful farewell, but at the last moment Rin Tohsaka reaches out to her.

The future has been changed, and a new beginning awaits. Adapting the Good Ending of the Unlimited Blade Works route from the original visual novel, the episode shows what comes after the war, as Rin, Shirou Emiya and Saber move on with their lives and Rin and Shirou head for London, where Rin will continue her studies as a magus.

Gentle and warm in tone, it is a reward for viewers who followed the route to its end, offering a happier coda to a story defined by sacrifice.
