Kimi ni Todoke: From Me to You - Unrequited Love

This special episode recaps the story of Kimi ni Todoke: From Me to You so far, retold from the point of view of Ume Kurumizawa, known to everyone as Kurumi.

The series follows Sawako Kuronuma, a shy, kind-hearted high school girl whose resemblance to the ghost from the horror film The Ring has earned her the nickname Sadako and a reputation for being creepy. Her life begins to change thanks to Shouta Kazehaya, the most popular boy in class, who treats her like anyone else and helps her make her first real friends.

Kurumi, a pretty and popular girl, has loved Kazehaya since middle school but could never get close to him. When she realizes he is drawn to Sawako, she tries to use Sawako and even spreads rumors to keep them apart, until Sawako's sincerity forces her to confront her own feelings. In this episode Kurumi looks back on these events through her own eyes, offering a bittersweet perspective on unrequited love and on a rivalry that slowly turned into mutual respect.
