Snow White with the Red Hair OVA

This OVA of Snow White with the Red Hair adapts three chapters from Sorata Akiduki's original manga, offering extra stories about the characters of the series.

The main story follows Shirayuki, a young herbalist with strikingly beautiful apple-red hair, who fled her home country of Tanbarun when its foolish Prince Raji tried to make her his concubine. In the neighboring kingdom of Clarines she met Zen Wistalia, the kingdom's second prince, and became a court herbalist at his castle, gradually growing closer to him and to his loyal aides, Mitsuhide and Kiki.

The OVA adapts the manga's 41st chapter, in which Shirayuki and Zen go on a date in the castle town, enjoying a rare moment of peace away from their duties. It also includes a special chapter from the seventh volume that follows Prince Raji as a child, and a special chapter from the eleventh volume that chronicles how Zen, Mitsuhide and Kiki first met. Together these stories add warmth and backstory to the gentle, romantic world of the series.
