Bocchi the Rock! Movie

Hitori Gotou is a young girl with a burning passion for music who dreams of playing in a band and sharing her talent with the world. However, her crippling shyness and anxiety keep her from overcoming her fears and connecting with other people, which stops her from making friends or forming a band. In despair, Hitori shuts herself off from the outside world and spends her time in her room, where she finds comfort and freedom in playing the guitar and strives every day to perfect her skills.

Unable to perform in front of people, she decides to share her music online, creating a channel called guitarhero where she posts guitar covers of popular songs. Gradually her talent and passion draw an audience, and her subscriber count keeps growing. Then, just when she has given up hope of ever playing music for real, fate smiles on her: she meets Nijika Ijichi, a talented drummer who is looking for a guitarist for her own band.

This film is the first of two compilation movies retelling the TV series, and it features newly animated opening footage.
