KenIchi: The Mightiest Disciple OVA

These OVA episodes of KenIchi: The Mightiest Disciple were released together with volumes of the original manga and continue the story beyond the events of the television series.

Kenichi Shirahama was once a weak, bullied high school student, until he began training at the Ryozanpaku dojo under a group of eccentric but overwhelmingly powerful martial arts masters, all for the sake of the beautiful and gifted Miu Furinji, the granddaughter of the dojo's elder. Through brutal, often absurd training regimes he grew strong enough to stand up to the delinquent fighting gang Ragnarok.

With that conflict behind him, Kenichi soon learns that far more dangerous opponents exist. The OVAs bring him face to face with Yami, a shadowy organization of masters who follow the path of killing fists, and with its elite group of disciples, who are every bit his equals. Backed by his masters and friends, Kenichi must keep pushing his limits in ever harder battles while holding on to his belief in protecting others rather than hurting them.
