Genshiken Second Season

Genshiken, the Society for the Study of Modern Visual Culture, is entering a new stage: the old members are leaving the university, making room for newcomers with different views and interests. As another semester begins, the club recruits a new generation of enthusiasts, many of them drawn in by Ogiue's BL drawings. Among them are the American Sue, who stuns everyone with her energy and unconventional approach to her hobbies; the freshmen Rika Yoshitake and Mirei Yajima, who bring a lively female presence and plenty of emotion; and the mysterious Hato, who prefers to hide his true nature behind the appearance of a girl.

The changed lineup provokes mixed reactions, as the traditions of the former members collide with new interests, and Ogiue begins to fear the club is turning into a haven for fujoshi. Gradually it becomes a place where manga fans, artists, gamers and cosplayers meet, and every gathering turns into a debate about creativity and modern culture. The members take part in events, create projects, exchange opinions about the works they love and run into the difficulties of working together.
