The Comic Artist and His Assistants Specials

These specials are short bonus episodes of The Comic Artist and His Assistants, released together with the Blu-ray and DVD volumes of the television series.

The series follows Aito Yuuki, a manga artist who has finally gotten his work serialized but who remains an unapologetic pervert with an obsession for women's underwear, a fixation that finds its way into both his manga and his everyday behavior. He spends his days at his studio, where his long-suffering assistant Sahoto Ashisu has to put up with his antics, delivering swift retribution whenever his comments go too far, while his editor and the other assistants who join the studio keep the chaos going.

Like the main series, the specials are short, gag-driven comedy sketches about the daily life of a manga studio: deadlines, the struggle to come up with ideas, misunderstandings among the staff and Aito's endless attempts to justify his eccentric passions as being for the sake of his art, all with a healthy dose of light fan service.
