Waiting in the Summer: In Our Last Summer of High School, We Await That Summer

This special episode was included in the Blu-ray box of Waiting in the Summer (Ano Natsu de Matteru), the romantic coming-of-age series about a group of friends spending an unforgettable summer together.

The series follows Kaito Kirishima, a high school boy who loves making films with an old camera left to him by his grandfather. One summer night, while testing his camera, he witnesses something strange fall from the sky, and soon afterward a mysterious senior with striking red hair, Ichika Takatsuki, enters his life. Together with his best friend Tetsurou Ishigaki, the cheerful Kanna Tanigawa, the reserved Mio Kitahara and the enigmatic Remon Yamano, Kaito sets out to shoot an amateur film over the summer break, and the project becomes tangled up with first loves, unspoken feelings and Ichika's secret.

As its title suggests, this bonus episode returns to the cast and the bittersweet theme of their last summer of high school, offering fans one more look at the friends, their bonds and their feelings.
