Carnival Phantasm EX Season

Carnival Phantasm EX Season is a DVD-only bonus episode bundled with the special edition "Take Moon" volume of Carnival Phantasm, the comedy anime that gathers the casts of Type-Moon's works, chiefly Tsukihime and Fate/stay night along with Fate/hollow ataraxia, into a single madcap world of parody and slapstick.

Like the main series, this extra episode is a collection of loosely connected comedic sketches that poke fun at the characters and the tropes of their original stories. Caren Ortensia, the sharp-tongued nun, attempts to rule the world with the power of money, with varying degrees of success. Phantas-Moon, the parody magical girl, sees her TV show receive a movie adaptation. Meanwhile, Shiki Tohno finds himself caught up in a love story that spans years.

Packed with in-jokes, self-aware humor and cameos from across the Type-Moon universe, the episode is a lighthearted treat aimed squarely at fans who know these characters well and enjoy seeing them thrown into absurd situations.
